PAMM Fund For African American Art: María Elena Ortiz

Associate Curator María Elena Ortiz shares the importance of the PAMM Fund for African American Art and gives an update on Knight Foundation’s matching grant for the fund.

On February 21, at the Fourth Annual Reception for the PAMM Fund for African American Art, Knight Foundation President and CEO Alberto Ibargüen announced an incredible opportunity for the Fund and the community of Miami-Dade: Knight Foundation has pledged to match gifts to the PAMM Fund for African American Art in the amount of $200,000 through August 21, 2017.

Associate Curator María Elena Ortiz is happy to announce – the museum is nearly there! Thanks to the incredible support of our patrons and donors, the museum is only a few thousand dollars away from reaching it’s $200,000 goal. Such an incredible achievement will not only enable the museum to acquire new works from the diaspora, but it will also enable us to continue educating and transforming the community.
