PAMM is a place for the community, a town hall for the people. We aspire to inspire. The Miami Foundation recognized the museum’s contribution to the city’s vibrant arts community and awarded PAMM a signature grant of $50,000.

“We could not be more humbled and honored to receive such a generous grant from The Miami Foundation,” said PAMM Director Franklin Sirmans. “PAMM is a community hub. We take pride in promoting and inspiring creativity in this amazing city.”

PAMM strives to mold and inspire young minds through a variety of educational programs and learning opportunities for students, teachers, families, and teens. Pérez Art Museum Miami provides K-12 students and teachers interactive learning opportunities with art of the 20th and 21st century. Through the Knight Schools Program, students engage in critical thinking and explore personal meaning-making at the museum.

To create a truly prosperous community, we must strive to make equity a priority,” said The Miami Foundation’s board chair Javier Alberto Soto. “Each of our grant recipients were selected because they are using the arts and creative spaces to break down barriers in our community and to bring people together across geographic, racial, ethnic and economic lines. Doing this builds understanding and empathy in ways that are key to the development of an equitable and just society.”
