We’re less than three weeks away from PAMM’s fourth annual Art of the Party, the museum’s largest fundraiser event of the year presented by Valentino, on March 17, 2018. This year, we’re honoring Teresita Fernández, one of today’s leading contemporary artists, and philanthropist Patricia M. Papper.
As we gear up for the annual art bash, we’re looking back at some of the best moments from last year’s event.
From Usher on the black carpet to our Supper Club photo booth, here are the five best 2017 Art of the Party moments.
1. Usher’s outfit
Usher was looking dapper as ever on the black carpet donning a Dries Van Noten suit and Gucci shoes with PAMM Director Franklin Sirmans. Do you know what you’re wearing to this year’s celebration?
2. The creative photo booth inspired by PAMM’s past special exhibition, Julio Le Parc: Form into Action
Held simultaneously on the museum’s second-floor special exhibition galleries, Supper Club partygoers enjoyed a chic and provocative setting with live musical sets by DJ Phaxas and interactive art stations, including a virtual reality painting activation, portrait artists and a photo booth inspired by PAMM’s past special exhibition, Julio Le Parc: Form into Action. This year’s Supper Club offers a one-of-a-kind al fresco dining experience designed by Chef Michelle Bernstein and STARR Events, as well as live entertainment on the picturesque waterfront. 3. We raised more than $1.1 Million at Art of the Party 2017, thanks to you
Last year, more than 1,000 art world luminaries, cultural philanthropists, civic leaders, and artists attended PAMM’s Art of the Party. The event, which honored contemporary artist Lorna Simpson, had its highest attendance to date, and raised more than $1.1 million for the museum’s robust education program, the largest outside the Miami-Dade County school system.
4. When Miami Heat Player Justise Winslow showed up
When Miami Heat Player Justise Winslow showed up to Art of the Party, it was a proud moment for the museum. For those visiting Miami, be sure to visit the neighboring American Airlines Area, home to the Miami Heat, for a game on Monday, March 19.
5. The Dessert
Talk about decadence. Last year, the desserts in collaboration with Chef Michael Schwartz and STARR Catering Group, were fit for dessert fiends of all kind. Get down with a dessert in hand at our late night dance party on the waterfront terrace this year.
