Father and paternal figures make the world go round. Without them, none of us would be here right now. From teaching life lessons to being a support system—fathers are everything! This Father’s Day, we wanted to highlight some of the special dads who drive the mission and vision of Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM).
Franklin Sirmans | PAMM Director

Tell us a little bit about yourself and your role at PAMM.
I’ve been the PAMM’s director since the fall of 2015. I moved here from Los Angeles, but I am originally from the East Coast and organized a show at PAMM in 2009 called, NeoHooDoo: Art for a Forgotten Faith.
What is your favorite spot on campus to relax/decompress/take a break and why?
Next to the Ernesto Neto sculpture, on the edge of PAMM’s Sculpture Garden.
How do you connect with your child about art?
From an early age, my daughter would crawl on museum floors, pose on the Urban Light sculpture by Chris Burden in Los Angeles, and run through Soto’s sculpture. After moving to Miami, she found Soto at PAMM and loved exploring the galleries with others her age. She’s a teen now, and we don’t connect with art that often. Although we do connect on music, Drake and Taylor Swift are winning.
How do you celebrate father’s day?
My wife is an amazing chef/cook, so I always eat well! A little too much.

Mark Rosenblum | PAMM CFO/COO

Tell us a little bit about yourself and your role at PAMM.
I am the COO/CFO of the institution, responsible for the care and function of the museum (Finance, HR, IT, Marketing, Visitor Services, Digital Experience, Facility, and Security). I have been with PAMM for 8 1/2 years and worked in the arts for over thirty years. My education (BBA & MBA) is in Finance, but it pleases me to add Operations over the years. I have a great wife, enjoy living in Weston, Florida, and love my family, PAMMily, and sports!
What is your favorite spot on campus to relax/decompress/take a break and why?
PAMM’s third-floor exterior Ipe Wood deck. Nothing is more beautiful than floating over Biscayne Bay with an amazing view of the Atlantic Ocean down Government Cut. The stunning boats, blue water, sun during the day, and Miami Beach lights at night make it a priceless (and relaxing) experience morning, noon, and night.
How do you connect with your child about art?
By practicing what I preach! I’ve introduced the many varieties of art and immersed them in the offerings as much as possible. Art comes in many forms (dance, music, and visual), and I let them gravitate to what they like. I have always worked for the flagships in South Florida, so art has always been accessible to my boys.
How do you celebrate father’s day?
With my amazing father 84-year-old Bobby Rosenblum, my special mother-in-law Krissy Charlton, my loving wife Alison, and intelligent sons Noah (23) and Emmett (19). I enjoy a delicious meal at P.F. Chang’s and a nap at the end of the day!

Raymond Adrian | Senior Visual Designer

Tell us a little bit about yourself and your role at PAMM.
As PAMM’s Senior Visual Designer, my main task is to create visuals that extend the museum’s mission to mass audiences.
What is your favorite spot on campus to relax/decompress/take a break and why?
The best reset is simply browsing the PAMMShop and seeing people react to things we create.
How do you connect with your child about art?
He loves the museum as a setting on its own, but everything we do in life circles around art. I’m a big supporter of encouraging him to look at the world from different angles and to express himself creatively through multiple mediums.
How do you celebrate father’s day?
Near some body of water with family!
